Consider the following Scenario now

Unexpected Connections:

Imagine being in a busy café, enjoying your coffee and browsing on your phone. Nearby, an expert in tech, known as a hacker, is quietly sitting. Little did you know that your ordinary day would take a surprising turn as you both unknowingly connect to the same WiFi network.?

Sharing the Same Space:

Now You see a WiFi network called “Free WiFi Available” and can’t resist connecting to it. But you don’t realize that you’ve now entered the same digital world as the hacker. Your device is linked to the network, and you feel excited to browse without using up your data.

Hidden Dangers:

Unknown to you, public WiFi networks can be risky. Your data is not protected, and the hacker can see what you’re doing online. You are like an open book to them, and they’re ready to exploit the opportunity.

Watching from Afar:

The hacker notices that your data is not encrypted, meaning it’s not secure. They can easily peek into your personal info, passwords, and more, making you vulnerable to their prying eyes.

A Sneaky Intrusion:

The hacker uses a clever trick called a “Man-in-the-Middle” attack. They sneakily intercept the data flowing between your device and the websites you visit, for eg: spoofing. It’s like someone listening in on your private conversations. On further exploitation, a hacker can execute attacks like evil twin attack (A rouge routed) and evil-limiter attack (throwing you out of the network)

A Nasty Malware Plan:

With access to the network, the hacker starts spreading bad stuff called “malware.” It’s like a digital virus that can infect your device without you even knowing. They aim to steal your personal information and take control of your device.

A Lucky Escape:

Just as the hacker gets ready to do more harm, they notice something surprising. Your device has a special protection called a “VPN,” making it hard for the hacker to spy on you. It’s like a shield keeping you safe from their prying eyes. You turn on the VPN.

Lessons Learned:

As you finish your coffee, you’ve had quite an adventure in the digital world. You’ve learned that using public WiFi networks can be risky, and it’s essential to be cautious. You’ll remember to use VPNs for extra security and avoid sensitive activities on public networks. The digital dance between hackers and security measures will continue, but now you’re better prepared to stay safe online. Another important tip is don’t do any Money transactions that could lead to a potential scam.
