“Social Engineering: The Science of Human Hacking”
Overview:
This book is a part of the Cybersecurity domain, where all people can read, to win and manipulate any situation, this is the book written by Christopher Hadnagy, which has almost 10 Sections with 287 pages overall, the interesting thing about this book is, that this whole book will be based on scenarios, on how to manipulate your words to win any situations. and it’s an addictive one too, I am not a big book lover, well I don't even read any books, mostly into podcasts, but trust me I completed all 287 pages within a week, and I have also created a summary of the first 2 chapters in my youtube channel as a podcast
One of my favourite, scenarios of this book is how to trespass into an unauthorized IT server room and leave without a trace, this book will be like reading a mission-impossible Tom Cruise movie, full of actions and suspense😂. Ok, the reason to say this is, that the author would have said, how to gather information of an individual or organization, and how patience & confidence is more important in any situation. and the most important thing is ‘where to use what words and in which tone’
For example:
When you see a homeless person asks for help, people would normally ignore them, but when he/she turns the face reaction emotionally like crying or sad, and turns the body language like a hungered man starving to death, people would definitely help them with some money or food, this is how manipulation works in each and every scenario(This is just a example,please don’t get offended, Thanks! :)
My real-life Example:
Ok, I am working as a steward security in the football stadium, part-time in the UK, couple of days ago I had my shift, and my work was near the ticket gate, and the game was nearly halftime, my supervisor instructed me, you should open the gate after the half time, so people will come and smoke, and that too I will inform you, when to open the gate, here I didn't heard this specific piece of this specific message ‘I will inform you, when to open the gate’ so before the half time, a group of 6 people asked me to open the gate, and I opened it instantly, the reason my supervisor said to open the door after the instructions was, people could sneak in from outside easily to watch the 2nd half of the match since the smoking area was outside the ticket counter, then my supervisor was shocked to see people were smoking outside before the half time, he rushed to me and said, who told to open the door, without asking my permission, he was damn pissed off, and 2 other senior supervisors and a police officer came to the spot, and started to investigate me, why you opened the door, ok belive me or not this specific book helped me here😂. I instantly told them, that I got a message from one of the other supervisors from outside the ticket counter to open the door, so I opened it, they also asked, can you identify them, I said I don't remember his face, he asked me again, who told it to open, I said it’s one of your supervisors, I couldn't recognize the person’s face and told them you could check the CCTV footage for confirmation, they left me a warning saying, just follow what I am instructing, I said ok and my supervisor left from there, this could be simple, but still this specific words helped to get rid of that specific situation.

In summarise, so basically this book, helps you to win situations like bargaining a price for your business or service, how to talk to your manager when you get into trouble, how to speak with any person with confidence, how to gather information about people before having a meeting with him/her, where to use what kind of verbals and stuffs, and also this book teaches some basics on how human are getting hacked in real-time, and final and important topic on ‘Under the influence -eight Principles on how to win a situation’ just a quick reminder this book Isn't any kind of personality development book, but this book teaches where to use what kind of vocabulary to win any situation. :)
